What do you do when you're not feeling well?

Last week was my first week, I feel so motivated and weighed in this morning with a 5lb weight loss.

Over the weekend I got strept throat, I went to the doctor this morning and they put me on a strong antibiotic (as this is the 2nd time Ive had it this month!) and it's making me feel horrible!!! (which I was told it would)
I feel tired, and not hungry at all .. I know I need to eat and exercise but for one thing I can barely swallow anything
All the canned soups out there are super high in sodium . .

How do you handle diet/exercise when you dont feel well??

    Rule of thumb, is fever..don't exercise..just rest. Then do a very modified version of what you normally do until you get full back up and can do normal routine. That's what I do.

    Make your own soup. There are a ton of easy recipes on-line. Try to keep your eating within calories but don't worry aboutthe exercise until you are feeling better.

    The good thing is that antibiotics have you feeling back to normal within a couple of days...just make sure you take the whole course of antibiotics so it doesn't come back worse

    REST IS ALL YOU CAN DO, AND IF YOU END UP ON STEROIDS, IT DOES ADD WEIGHT, YOU JUST HAVE TO GET BETTER, AND BASICALLY ATART AGAIN. EATING HEALTHY SOUPS, WHEAT TOAST , FRUIT, THAT HELPS ON THE CALORIE END OF IT.

    REST!!! Get back up on your feet when you feel better. Keep plenty of fluids down too

    I agree take it easy until you get back up and feeling better. I have been off this past week due to not feeling well Time to get my butt in gear again though!! Just take it easy till you're feeling better! and I hope you feel beter soon! :D

    I'll repeat what everyone is saying...REST!!!! Eat when you can and just take it easy till the medication kicks in. If you try to exercise while your sick all you are doing is extending the illness. Take it easy and once your up to it, start your routine again :)

    Recover first. The gym will be there once you are better.

    REST REST REST. If you feel you MUST do something, just go outside for a nice, leisurely walk. Just to get some fresh air....not brisk or anything. I know sometimes, at least for me, it makes me feel good to just walk.

    As far as food...some greek yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit bars...all my favorites when I have a sore throat. Just take it easy and let the meds kick in!!
