Craving Ice Cream

Okay so I feel bad because this weekend I had a dessert everyday because I have a sweet tooth out of nowhere. And now I feel like ice cream. If i have eaten 525 calories so far and eat a dinner about 300 calories, and then have an ice cream which is 250 calories would that be okay? Like meaning would I gain weight. And I also went to the gym, elliptical-30 mins 320 calories burned.

I think that you can use your calories on whatever you like (within reason - obviously chocolate all day every day wouldn't be great!) as long as you don't go over them.0

I keep Weight Watchers chocolate ice cream on hand just for those occasions!! Actually, I like a lot of their desserts, especially the ice cream and the chocolate cake! I can have it and stay under my calorie allowance (when I'm not craving other junk!) and not feel guilty about eating it!0

WEIGHT WATCHERS GIANT ICE CREAM BARS ======= delicious and only 110 calories or so!!0

ok, OCCASIONALLY AND IN MODERATION (and within your calorie goal)! hey it is dairy ;-)0

If that is all you have eaten, it sounds like you are way UNDER what your calories should be? Especially since you have worked out.
:happy: I'm just sayin...............0 -
Also... I've had a crazy sweet tooth lately too! I have read in the past that when you drink things with artificial sweeteners (diet soda, crystal light, etc.) you are more likely to crave sweets even if you never have before.0

Well, to make you feel better I just saw a little while back on tv a man who did an experiment on calorie intake and he watched his calorie count to make sure he lost weight, but he only ate junk food, fast food and candy. He lost the weight. Now I am sure that is not a great weight to do it, but don't fret this one and just get back on the band wagon. I too have a sweet tooth and its an addiction, so I really have to go cold turkey and not have anything in the house and avoid outside sources. It is hard for first week but then gets really easy. I did well up until this last weekend too! Started again today and so far so good!0

totally.....if you like to try new things, this sometimes does it for me.....freeze bananas, I especially throw in the freezer the ones that are about to get over ripe, in a zip lock bag. I use them once in a while for a smoothie, or to make "ice cream"....i put almond milk in my Vitamix with vanilla and the frozen bananas (sometimes a few strawberries) and it's really yummy!!0

A FULL CUP of Artic Zero would get you the same calories...still no fat, or sugar.*
* Okay, I'm dyslexic...it's more like 90 calories for a full cup.0 -
Healthy Choice makes a 90 Calorie / 98% fat free fudge bar! they really are the best I have ever had and I never feel guilty for having one everyday!!!! I am in Canada and I can only get them at Costco!!!! But love them.......0

I totally agree - you need the ice cream, plus another healthy snack or something with maybe some protein like nuts. Enjoy the ice cream, and make sure you get your cals for the day.0 -

Your projected total calories (525 + 300 + 250 - 320 = 755) is way under a net goal of at least 1200. This will not help you lose weight in the long run, unless you are really short (under 5ft) or really overweight/obese. So have your treat, and then eat a few hundred more healthy calories.0 -
yeah! moderation! i have seen that where the guy ate all junk food and stayed within caloric intake. of course, we all know this ISN'T HEALTHY. because you will feel like crap, not get the daily nutrients you need, and your body will metabolize efficiently!
i totally have a sweet tooth too so i know what you mean! like i said - weight watchers ice cream bars all the way!0 -
