Hi everyone! I've decided to get back to myfitnesspal after stepping on the scale! yikes! I had lost 20 lbs last year with myfitness pal and then got away from it! But I'm back and feeling ready and motivated. Looking for people with any advice and tips on weight loss... What has been working for you all? I know I have to keep things fresh and new or I will fall away again! So what's been your greatest success! Please let me know! Good luck to all!

I have struggled with self control for a while. What really helped me was tracking my calories everyday. I started to see the days where I needed to eat more of the good stuff (vegetables, proteins, fruit). Now I add a heaping amount of vegetables to everything I cook. They really fill me up and I am not hungry throughout the day. As far as exercise I get up before class to take a workout class at the gym. After I get done with the workout I have so much energy throughout the day. If you are getting in shape at home at least every morning when you wake up take a light jog around the block. When that's not the least bit challenging anymore pick up the pace and sprint right before you get home.0

I got hooked on veggies and the gym. I love my pilates class and using MFP so when I get a good exercise in I can eat more. I plan meals and exercises ahead to do the things I want and not worry about it.
Now I know what the "bad foods" are and how to avoid them and find a replacement or just make them better.0 -
I chopped off a few extra limbs I didn't really need and lost about 40 lbs.
Other than that, just exercising everyday helps me either maintain or lose weight. Keeps my mind off bad food too.0 -
Tracking my food intake is what has definately keep me on track! It might sound weird, but I find counting calories kinda fun! lol.0

What works for me???? Your diet. You can workout 3 hours a day, but if you have a crappy diet your not gonna really get anywhere. I see alot of people on here that are sticking to there calorie goal, but also eating at starbucks every morning, wendys in the afternoon, and only have enough calories for a little plate of rice for dinner.. Not a healthy way since its full of sodium. Stick to your veggies, some fruits, and lean proteins and you will start to notice a huge difference.0

Welcome back!
What worked for me was tracking every single thing that I eat, even the bad. Also, I exercise 7 days a week and eating as clean as I can. Best of luck to you, you can do it!0 -
I try to eat different things every time I go grocery shopping...buy 2-3 different proteins and switch it up next grocery trip. I get cravings for certain veggies so I'll stock up on that, and then next time I'll be in the mood for something else and then eat that, then switch to something else, etc. etc. For work outs, I try to change it every 4 months or so depending on if it keeps working for me. I started off with the elliptical and running for cardio, then switched to walking and turbo kick classes, then was doing walking and running, then rollerblading and running, then stationary bike and elliptical, now I do a combination of elliptical & stationary bike, running, and sometimes I rollerblade if it's nice outside. I've had several different routines for lifting. I started with free weights and machines, then used Jillian Michaels' No More Trouble Zones, now I'm back to machines & free weights but a totally different routine.0
