Pulse heart rate monitor watches

does anyone have any experience with these pulse heart rate monitor watches? Im seeing some online for $1 or so.

    good question, I saw an iron man at the PX for $79. I was wondering the exact same thing.

    I have one that I got from Academy (sporting good store in Texas) it was 30.00 and I like it. I could not afford the chest strap and just figured that it would get in the way. I don't think the watch is as good as a chest strap, you have to keep updating it every time your heart rate goes up or down to keep it accurate.

    But all in all I love it. I am glad that I got it.
