Hello,
I just joined yesterday and am having fun figuring out the different tools here. Everything seems really helpful, designed to be encouraging, which I love.
I've been overweight most of my life, dieted on and off since I was fairly young, and really want to break that cycle. So, here I am! I'm trying to eat mostly low-glycemic index, and I'm a vegetarian, so I can use any advice about balancing these two eating systems (as well as how to eat out on the weekend once and not spiral out of control). I've also just started working out - aerobics classes and walking.
I'm happy to become part of this community and look forward to being inspired by you all!

Welcome!! I don't know about the veg. diet. About the weekends, I am to the point that I'm not willing to ruin what I did during the week. I 've only been at this for three weeks and I haven't lost a pound, but I'm feeling better and my clothes are a little looser. I have been making a menu and precooking some things on Friday so I'm not in the kitchen all weekend. It really has helped. Not only healthier, but it's been easier on the budget, too.0
