Polar F6. I love it. Whatever you decide to purchase, make sure it has a chest strap. Good luck to you.0

i really like the polar brand. I just ordered the polar RS300X0

I love my Polar FT40. It was cheaper than the other Polar models on Amazon (in the UK) so I got that one. Very glad I went with a leading brand because their calorie counting system appears to be more reliable than ones which stick any old number for you to see.0

Polar is a very good brand and you cant really go wrong, if you want one that counts calories the cheapest one that does this is the polar ft4, I have this, it come with a chest strap and does everything you need, cant reccommend it enough.

Ihave a polar ft60 and LOVE it. It even has an option to set a fitness program...mine is set to lose weight and it sets workout goals for me and tells me when I'm in the best fat burn zone for me. Go with Polar...you won't regret it.0

Ive seen this post so many times, and it is obvious that Polar is the best and most used brand. Thats what convinced me to get mine and I LOVE it. If you're worrying about prices I would check ebay and Amazon, but do not buy a cheap knockoff hrm from anywhere, (like from walmart) you will just be wasting your money, you are better off just saving up for the good one that has awesome reviews. Good luck!0

Do you run? Bike? Walk? Hike?
If the answer to any of those is "yes" then your best bang for the buck is a Garmin 305 GPS / HRM. Not only will it track your heart rate, but will also keep an accurate account of your distance, time, pace, elevation and a wealth of other information that you may or may not find useful. You can create goal specific workouts with it, run against yourself, keep track of all your workouts, etc. You can even use it to get back to your starting point if you get lost. You can review the information on the run or in the watch's history when you're done...or download it to your computer or the internet to see your routes and a bunch of other stuff. Aside from good running shoes it's the single best investment I've made for walking/running/biking.
If you just want a HRM to wear at the gym or doing workout videos in the house or something then I'd go for a Polar, but if you're taking your show on the road there's nothing better than the Garmin 305.0 -
