So it is OK to eat the coloured eggs if they were refrigerated?

What else were you gonna do with them? The egg dye isn't harmful and the eggs are meant to be eaten!

yeah of course. I've heard to not eat them after they've been out for like 2 hours. I should've died as a kid if that were the case, but they're safe.

Make a daisy salad...Cut the egg lengthwise into 8 or so "petals". Spread them out in a circle on a bed of lettuce. Press the yolk through a strainer into the center of the circle. It will look like the center of the daisy. Makes a pretty lunch salad

Ok, I have a lovely idea what to do with those leftover brightly colored Easter eggs. It does require you have a cat and a dog- or 2! Just got home and found my Easter centerpiece minus 8 hard boiled eggs! Evidence was a few little shells on the floor!

I take the yolk out of hard boiled eggs and put a little hummus in them. It's a great snack.

yip put them in a bag with the metal seal it up for a few days and the sulphur in the eggs will react with the metal oxidizing them, always open the bag outside and rinse the metal well cos it will smell lol.

Sliced hard-boiled eggs on a piece of toast with some type of salty condiment. Yum. Great for breakfast or lunch.
  • Awesome idea to take the yolk out and fill with hummus! Never have thought about that before and I LOVE hummus!!!! Thanks! :flowerforyou: I also like to have them in the fridge for a quick breakfast on the go! Simple, filling and great protein!
