Good morning everyone!!! I need some suggestions. My office is going to an Indian restaurant today. I have never really eaten anything other that the Lemon Rice from Indian restaurants. What would be a good low cal healthy choice?

Do they have a website? Can you see nutritional packet? Check the food database and type in Indian...
    Maybe you'll get a hit.

Worse case senario - Call and ask OR Try to ask a maitre'd or waiter/waitress b/4 everyone gets seated

good Luck - Have a Great Day!!

Idlis (Rice pancakes) are usually very healthy and low calorie. They're cooked by steaming the rice batter. I would eat it with the Sambhar curry (Lentil soup) and skip the Coconut chutney that usually comes with it because of high calories and carbs.

Any kind of dal (yellow or black) is a good choice. You can also eat Chana/Chole (Chickpeas), Any vegetarian curry made with spinach, or cauliflower..

Check if the restaurant has Upma (Cream of Wheat dish)- that's pretty healthy too.

    Good luck!
