What food do you miss the least? What do you still crave?

Since I started this new eating change, I gave up one thing that I have NEVER ever given up in the past. Cheese!! Yep. I thought I couldn't live without the stuff. I love it. Packed it on to everything I ate, snacked on it by itself and in past diets, worked it into my eating plan so I didn't feel deprived.

This time around I gave it up. I even put the giant pillow sized bag into the freezer so I wouldn't be able to munch on it mindlessly.

I don't miss it as much as I thought!! :noway: And on the bonus side, I go a lot more than I used to. (tmi, I know.)

I really miss my white Jasmine rice, and work that in when I can, but I measure it out to keep from doing damage. I used make a big pot of it and just eat it all day! I miss doing that still. :cry:

    I dont deny myself anything :] have learned that all that does is lead t a massive binge down the road

    I did however ban granola bars from my dorm xD So I dont eat an entire box in one sitting hehe

    i havent given up anything. ive eaten smaller portions when i craved it, otherwise i will eat everything else, and ive drank water first because most of the time im dehydrated not hungry.

  • I dont miss candy or chocolate...Thank goodness I've never really been big on those two things....Some things Im not giving up....like my chips....

    I have a definite love for cheese as well! I haven't cut it out completely, but I've definitely cut down quite a bit....and fast food...at least 5 times a week =-0 I only allow myself grilled chicken sandwiches when my husband and I have lunch.

    I don't deny myself foods just limit them.

    The thing I did quit was soda. Too much bad stuff in to be worth it. I don't miss it at all.

    Aspartame! :sick: I didn't even intentionally cut it out, but the more I ate fresh REAL food, the more I could TASTE aspartame in the fake stuff and it is SO GROSS!! I can't stand it anymore!

    I can't say that I 'miss' anything, because I also don't ban any foods, but I guess chips and queso. I eat it VERY infrequently, and it's SOOOO good!

    I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GAVE UP CHEESE!!! :noway: I don't think I'd ever have that much willpower. However, I did refrain from putting it on my egg sandwich this morning, so I've made baby steps. :laugh:

    I still eat everything, just in smaller portions or on occasion.

    My one HUGE downfall is candy. I still work it in WAY too often! I go over my sugar EVERY day it seems like.

    i overall gave up pop.
    Other than that I dont give up anything I just limit the portion with things like chocolate and ranch.

    I don't miss chocolate at all and used to be a chocolate freak. I still crave cheese and if I do eat some it's a very small amount.

    I have anything I like, but portion control is my new way of life. I find myself craving healthy stuff more often now, especially since I really don't reach for sugary stuff anymore. I did go cold turkey on the diet soda though. That's only because the stuff is so horrible for you. I still want it from time to time, but I really try to never touch the stuff.

    i found out the hard way cut everything out and later binged or would over eat. It's better to get smaller portions then to cut everthing out becuse in the en your gravings will win but you just gotta find a happy medium

    I miss pizza. I still have it sometimes but it's hard not to eat half the pie. I gave up soda and I don't really miss it at all. I can't even remember the last time I had caffeine. I drank a jones soda that was sugar and caf free so I don't know if that is cheating or not O.o

    It wasn't intentional. Just was making a bunch of meals for me and DH, and after a week, I saw I hadn't had cheese for a week. I made the decision to stop eating it. At least for the time being. lol

    ewebber, I miss pizza too.
