Hey all I have a question. Yesterday I started C25k day 1 week 1 and I woke up in a decent mood, and I am very peppy ish today, almost happy. Does anyone else experience this with running?

yes. Running (any endurance exercise) releases endorphins and dopamine (happy feeling chemicals). This is the reason therapists recomend their patient workout as well as take meds/therapy.

Yes, normally after I do cardio workouts I feel very peppy and energized. Which is why I prefer excerising in the morning.

    Three cheers for endorphins!!! WOOHOO!
  • Also, the fact that you got up and did it is probably a good part of your good mood. :)

I am definitely much bouncier since I started running, but not internally happier, no. Then I have had a really tough last year.
