Hi everyone!
I have been a member for a while but am finally giving myself the boot I need to get going. Hopefully posting on here and telling my plan will help!
I am in my early thirties and have two small children. My weight has gradually crept up over the last 9 months and I have found myself a stone over my ideal weight for the first time ever. I'm still classified as healthy according to my BMI, but I certainly don't look or feel it! I'm off on a nice holiday at the end of May and am aiming to look better by then. I'm starting the 30 day shred today and will be attempting a low carb 1200 calorie diet as well. Is this stupid? I am very impatient and expect to have lost a few pounds just my making this plan!
Nice to 'meet' you all!

I don't think it's a bad plan at all so long as you can stick with it. But being on here can make you accountable so you stay on track, this has been one of the things that has really helped me along my journey.
Best of luck to you and I hope you have fun on your holiday.0 -
Hi,
I am totally new to this site, and also going on holiday end of May so a big push for 5 weeks!
I would be interested in how you get on with the low carb plan - I am also aiming for 1200 cals a day myself, but not sure I can keep to low carb as I love potatoes, pasta etc. A relative of mine has recently lost over a stone on low carb, and she looks fab. She is also coming on holiday with us, so that has given me an extra incentive.
Good look with your efforts - if you need a "diet buddy" I'd be happy to keep in touch - we have similar goals.
