So . . . what's in your gym bag?

I've been working out in our company's fitness room for the past 4 or 5 weeks and it's kinda interesting to see what people bring! I have locker with clothes in it, but some people will bring a jumbo beach bag full of who-knows-what! Others bring coolers. One brings a Victoria's Secret bag. To each their own!

I don't have time to workout and take a shower before getting back to work, so sometimes I hate being so sweaty and having to get back into my nice work clothes . . . do any of you guys have that problem? What helps? I was actually thinking of getting baby wipes or something and then putting on some moisturizer.

I always have trouble with not having time to shower after the gym, I cram in my workout between work and find that I end up over-running and dashing back to work.
So I take a lovely fragranced body lotion, perfumed body spray, & perfume - a quick rub here and a spray or 5 there, and I'm running out the door in my work clothes.
I even get told how nice I smell after the gym, so I must be doing something right

I sweat a ton too on most workouts. Wipes sound like a great idea. I could never go back to work after a cardio workout. But , I also don't get that opportunity to either. I've seen others do a quick sponge bath type wipe down. Good for you for fitting it in during your busy day!:flowerforyou:

I work out at lunch 4x per week and shower each time. To make up for any overages in lunch hour, I work thru lunch 1x per week. To keep it quick, I wash only the necessities in the shower and NOT my hair. I just keep it in the pony/headband and blow it back out post shower.
Lots of pees I know dont shower after, but I will end up with stinky pits.:flowerforyou:

I'll tell you what's in my gym bag....I went to the gym one day, pulled out all the necessities for the shower and heard something fall out onto the floor, I turned around to see what it was and the little doggie had buried a bone in the gym bag:bigsmile: Gotta  em!

I always take a shower...I get ready for about 5-10 minutes, workout for 30ish, then 10-15 minutes to shower/dress...of course I don't have to blow dry my hair or anything either. I have to shower to even feel comfortable going back to work.
  • in the military we learned to take a 17 second shower, i also sometimes workout in our fitness room at work, i can strip, hit the shower, hit the important spots and dress in under 2 minutes, your changing clothes anyways, if you do it there in the shower stall, , turn the water on before you undress, soon as your nude, step into the water hit the important areas good in about 15 seconds, arapid once over everywhere with the soap and a quick rinse, and step out, try it, see how fast you can do it compared to just changing clothes, shouldnt take more than 1 minute longer than just changing, and if you normally change at a leisurly pace, but you do all this in a hurry , you may even save time

I jog at lunch and there isn't a shower here. So, I bring a towel to wipe myself off, some wipes (they're like baby wipes without the scent, I got them at Walmart) and body powder to put on afterward. I actually find that I can make myself presentable for going back to work.

Oh, and I find that I stay warm for a while, so I have a small fan under my desk that I run for a while after I come back.

    I work out 5x a week, Monday - Friday.
I do 25-30 minutes cardio and 10 min weight training.
I jump through the shower, hitting only the hot spots. Shower cap -- never have to mess with my hair, except to pull it down from my workout ponytail.
I never reapply makeup. I workout from 230p-330p anyhow.
If I'm late from lunch, I come in a little early or leave a little later that day.

I have seen plenty of women take a birdbath (quick wash at the sink) or use wipes.

I keep a fan to help me cool down at my desk (post workout and shower) too.

I will prob get boos from the crowd, but I also take the elevator back (3 floors) from the gym. IF i take the stairs the sweating gets going again and I melt.

 I've always been grateful that our gym is only available by elevator. The stairs are hidden and not the preferred method of travel building management wants you to utilize. I've never minded!!!

Well, that's funny, you don't seem to HAVE any important spots.

Ok.....so dont hit me.......but I work from home so I have a shower readily available.

BUT...A washcloth in a baggie, with a little of your favorite soap on it is wonderful. When I went to the gym I would pop it out, hit the smelly places, rinse off and put it back in the baggie. I carried a hand towel for drying. Deoderant and your through.

A scented lotion is good for arms and legs.

    Keep up the good work!!:flowerforyou:
