Left but now I'm back

I used MFP several months ago but now I'm back. I went on vacation and saw pics of myself and it was enough to get me going.
I struggle with this because first off I don't like veggies and mostly anything green so that doesn't help and my hubby travels a lot for business so I get bored. I work full time so that really helps (well some days) and I have 2 teenage boys and a bonus daughter.
They keep me going. I'm looking to get back where I need to be before a summer trip in June. I can't go to FLA looking like this!!
And their is something about knowing I can still turn my hubby's head too. LOL I won't to work at it and not become lazy with myself.
How about all of you??

I hear ya! I went to Mexico and saw how flabby I looked. It was disappointing when I felt I had to go thru certain photo's and decide which ones I CAN'T post b/c I looked bad
Me I love veggies... but I get urges while I'm at work in the evening. I don't do a highly stressful or crazy job so it's easy to get cravings. Not to mention I'm on my butt the whole time.
So recently, I've really gotten into running. I've surprised myself with how well I'm doing and I love the challenges I make for myself. This, paired with proper eating... I hope will get me to where I wanna be by the time my birthday rolls around in July.
I think what you need to do is maybe find a way to cook veggies so you like them? I dunno. It's hard for me to say since I love EVERY SINGLE VEGGIE out there. Explore ur options and maybe you'll find something great!0 -
First of all, you are way too hard on yourself. That won't help you enjoy the process of coming back to your normal comfortable weight. Just chalk it up that you had "insert how many years of fun eating here" and now you are ready to get back to work. I am very lazy also and it helps if your husband is on board with you. Your husband is probably a stick?? but both my husband and I gained 30 pounds since we were married in 2005 just being happy and living life, Now we spent the money to join a gym and try to go 3-5 times a week. I usually do weights, stretching and situps and my aerobics is usually 50-80 minutes of walking my dogs. My husband loves the spinning classes as you burn 800 calories at one sitting. I am going to try one this week. Then of course MFP will be the best thing to keep your food on track. My husband does not like anything green either. He luckily does like fruit. He will eat green beans but thats about it. Yet, he just plugs in what he has of what he really does like and watches the calorie intake. He luckily has an app on his phone so its easy for him to plug in as he goes during the day, but I do not have that but I try to plan my meals ahead of time the night before and then if I have to modify the next day I go in at night and modify. I mean, I had five spiced gum drops today (70 calories). A man did an experiment about calorie intake and he made a weight loss goal and then ate only a certain number of calores to get to that goal. He only ate junk food, fast food and candy, he just did not go over the calorie intake that he alotted himself for each day. He lost all the weight doing this. I am not suggesting this is a healthy way to do it, but calorie count is very helpful. Stay wtih MFP and you will lose it all. Have fun losing the weight...make it interesting!0
