I am feeling very fustrated today and just need to vent. I got down to 3 lbs away from my ultimate goal and in the last 4 months have been on this plateau, then in the last 3 weeks I have put back on 5 lbs. I have been under a great deal of stress and have been letting those old habits creap up again. I try every morning to motivate myself to get out of bed and workout, but nothing. How do I get back to that place were to workout or not was not even a question, I just did it? Just venting out of fustration and fear. Thanks for reading.

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. Maybe you could start over. Pretend today's your first and start from there. I hope you've got someone to talk to about the stresses. It does help to share. If not with everyone, then with someone. Good Luck with your new beginning!

Stress is super sucky for weightloss, you feel so overloaded with everything in your like that your body seems to get to a point where it just says "NO!"
You should eliminate the bad habits or monitor them carefully; eat small, rounded meals, drink plenty of water and get all your calories in. That way if you miss a work out, at least its not too damaging becuase your still eating healthy. But its hard if your still stressed, so try to calm down and take care of yourself and the stressfull things in your life.. once its a little bit easier, weightloss won't be so hard.
You could always ask someone to help you get to the gym; like a friend, boyfriend/husband, or kids. Maybe they can come with you so you have a reason to go and its more fun! Or at the very least they can nag you..
I always set a time to go workout, my cell phone alarm rings and I simply force myself to go at that time.. I don't give myself excuses like I don't feel like it or I don't have time.. When the workout alarm rings I kind of think about it like it was school or a job. Time to go! No if ands or buts!
You can also have a visual goal that will help keep you motivated aswell. Try writing out your goals, wishes and desires on a peice of paper. Physically seeing it might help you firgure out what you need to do to achieve it. You can also have a reminder on your wall or calandar that a specific event is coming up that you want to look GOOD, like Christmas, a wedding or a family reunion etc..
You can also buy a target outfit thats a size too small and that might motivate you to try and get into those clothes, or you could cut out pictures of bodies you want. The picture of Katie Perry's small but curvy figure on my mirror always reminds me that I can't be that way if I don't eat healthy or work out.
Good Luck!0 -
That's a tough place to be. Try reminding yourself what your ultimate goal was. What is the reason you decided to make this life style change? What motivated you in the beginning? The other stessors that you're under probably aren't helping things, either. Good luck to you! :flowerforyou:0
