Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm a rt leg amputee, so weight loss is crucial for me. At the same time, it's gonna be VERY challenging!

I hope this board is as active as it appears to be. I could really use someone (person or group of people) to help keep me accountable. I know how I am. I will be tempted to ease up when it starts gettin' rough.

I wish everybody good luck with their weight loss journey!

Later,

Mr. G

Good luck on your journey. Thre's a great group here that will help keep you accountable. In fact, we can be downright bossy.

I guess I'm being nosey, but what type of exercies are you looking to do? Swimming? Walking (I'm guessing you have a prothetic?)? Weights?

Dat's what I'm talkin' about! I don't mind you asking at all. I've set my diet/exercise diaries so they can be viewed (by my friends).

To answer your question, right now I'm tryin' 2 start slow. Just walking around my building on my crutches, and some light weight-lifting. I have to take it easy a little. I have a very weak heart, and I have an internal defibrillator. If I overdo it, I'll get shocked - and it is not a pleasant experience AT ALL!!! :frown:

  • Thank you Ash!

Well, looking at your badge (and before/after pics?), it seems you've done well on this site. Seems like you're somebody I need to learn from!

I wish I could keep up with the big fella with a prosthetic on the treadmill. He's the energizer bunny.

I've been at it since mid Jan and so much stronger than when I started. My aches and pains are disappearing like the pounds too.
