So I made spaghetti squash with regular red spaghetti meat sauce tonight....while eating it though I kept thinking that the squash would probably taste really good with some kind of really sweet sauce...like maybe a buttery, cinnimony sugar sauce? No idea...I'm just in weird land. haha

So has anyone made any kind of sweet sauce?

add some sort of fruit preserve to the tomato while you are cooking it... cherry or apple maybe?

I make spaghetti squash for my partner with brown sugar, cinnamon, orange zest and dried cranberries. I just put all the ingredients in the center of the squash for the last 20 minutes of the baking time and then let it sit for another ten after it comes out of the oven so all the flavors soak into the flesh.

If you are worried about the sugar, I have also used maple syrup and you could substitute a low-sugar version.
