Pasta portions - food scale question

Hi everyone! I'm pretty new to my food scale - but am loving it. My question is on my box of spaghetti the portion is listed as 2 oz. But what the heck does 2 oz look like right? So I busted out my food scale, but is the 2 oz dry, or after it is cooked?

Most of the time it's 2oz dry (more consistent that way). Almost all pasta is about 100 cal per oz, so you can check that way.

Rice is annoying like that too, but most of the calories listed for rice is cooked by volume. So does that mean 1 cup packed? or fluffy? I still don't know. I wish they'd just list it all by dry weight.

I've been eating quinoa pasta for a few months now, it's higher fiber and protein than flour, and tastes the same (unlike whole wheat and spelt, which is kinda dense). Definitely worth trying! And yes, it's 2 oz dry....some packages list it as such but not all I'm not sure why.
