Random question - American steak!!

Hi all,
Don't know if anyone can help. I was in Vegas last year and had the most amazing meal I have ever eaten, not sure if it's an American way of cooking that I don't know about (being English) or whether I was just lucky!!! I would imagine it's amazingly high in calories!!
I had the most amazing steak, it was covered in breadcrumbs or something and it was soooooooooo tender. It was a totally different texture to any steak I've ever had. I just melted in my mouth. I've tried and tried but can't recreate it! It also had a garlic gravy (??)
Any idea how it would have been cooked??

I don't know about the breadcrumbs, but they sure do serve a lot of prime rib in Vegas.0

I want to say country fried steak...that is the only type of steak I can think of that has breadcrumbs on the outside and served with gravy...0

I agree with country fried steak. But I believe it is not a "steak", but a pounded-out version of a ground beef patty, or a Swiss-style/cubed steak meat patty.
