Weigh before Cooking or after?

Options
I am getting mixed answers to this question...When weighing meat for consumption, do we weigh it before cooking or afterward? I have been told to weigh food before cooking and this is what I eat, and I have been told to weigh the food afterward. It is confusing on how this should be done...Appreciate any help in this.

I have only ever heard that you weigh before...That's what my nutritionist always told me.

Usually you can find calorie counts for both cooked and uncooked weights. I usually weigh after.

It doesn't matter :) Just make sure you log it right.
If you weigh before you cook, look for raw weight in the database.
If you weigh after you cook, look for the item grilled, baked etc.
    Easy!

I always make sure the database item states "raw" or "cooked."

Go by the package and weigh it raw. That makes it easier. For the most part I create my own entries. I've been finding a lot of different numbers in the database.
