Has anyone tried Beachbody's Hip Hop Abs? I've been doing various Beachbody dvds and am trying to switch it up. I have ordered it and it should arrive early next week. I'm really excited to be able to have a dvd that I actually look forward to doing each day. I used to be a cheerleader and I love dancing so I'm really hoping this will keep me motivated as well as the results I want. If anyone has tried this let me know, I'm really looking forward to what you have to say about it

Well I have finished the 30 day program and am starting to repeat the last 2 weeks for as long as I feel like doing it. I have lost 8 pounds and 4 inches on my waist! I recommend this to anyone who hates to workout but loves to dance0

Good for you! Which set do you have?? I like the Hips, Buns, & Thighs!! If you find a workout that is fun you are a LOT more likely to stick with it!

I just traded a workout program with my cousin who gave me Hip Hop Ab's, I'm so glad to hear people like it, I haven't used it yet. My cousin didn't like it, well she said she couldn't do it, I guess it's not her thing so I gave her my walking program that I used to use when I was trying to get my endurance up when I was heavier.0

For those who have asked (sorry haven't been on the msg boards in a while b/c of the holidays) I completed hip hop abs on Dec 19th and have started over again. I was just going to do the last 2 weeks over and over again but I took a 2.5 week break from working out due to being extremely sick and all of the holiday activities. I bought my wedding dress in November at a size 14 and just yesterday tried on a size 12 in the same dress and it fit perfectly. So yes, hip hop abs does work but you have to be completely commited. I believe that if I didn't take that 2.5 week break that I would have fit into a 10 (which would have been a size 8 pants size since wedding dresses run a size bigger) and that is my goal. I still have 5 months until my wedding so keep your fingers crossed for me and good luck to all of you!0

Enjoy it! I gave a set to my best friend and she is doing it with her younger sister. She said that her abs were really sore the next day! :bigsmile:0 -

I just started doing it, do you all log it in as dancing or what?0

I am doing Hip Hop Abs also. I had to do the first week twice to get up to speed. lol. I am on week three now. I have only lost an inch off my waist (and no weight as of last Sunday) BUT I didn't start counting calories until about five days ago when I joined this site.
I have never worked out or dieted before, but I am REALLY enjoying Hip Hop Abs. I look forward to working out every morning. The only issue I am having is with some of the squats in the Hips, Buns and Thighs routine... I have a bad knee (calcified cartilage) so I have to modify anything that puts too much weight on bent knees. It's cool to see that other people are doing Hip Hop Abs and enjoying it also.
Oh, and mommy2boys, I have been logging it as dancing/aerobics in my exercise journal. That seemed like the closest fit.0
