Study Snacks

I'm getting ready to start studying for finals next week and looking for some healthy snacks to take to the library, so nothing refrigerated or too difficult. I would study at home, but I get too tempted by the food in my kitchen that I just need to make myself go to the library for a certain amount of time and bring some healthy snacks to keep me focused! Any ideas???

Ugh, I feel you there....finals start for me next week too.

Plain popcorn is always good-- just buy unflavored kernels, throw them in a brown paper lunch bag, then roll the top closed. Microwave for 2 min/5 TBLSP, then season with whatever (I like cinnamon and stevia, but if you aren't into sweet, then garlic and lime is good too!)

Fruit is obviously always good.... I also like a mix of low calorie, high fiber cereal mixed with berries and slivered almonds.

Hope this helps (and good luck with finals!)

I'm in the same boat, exams are in a few weeks and I live in the library for most of the day studying. I usually bring an apple, string cheese and some nuts. Hope this helps

I survived medical school eating those 100 cal popcorn bags (kettle cooked and regular), lots of coke zero and diet dr pepper, apple slices with a shake of cinnamon and splenda and turkey sandwiches! I also ran for stress relief at least 30 min a day. Didn't gain any weight and did well academically! Good luck! You can do it!

string cheese/laughing cow, granny smith apple, grapes, nuts, (watch how many you are eating of these an ounce is smaller than you think), protein bars, I am a fan of hummus and you can stick it in a tupperware container, carrot sticks, celery.

    everyone has some great suggestions.
  • Nuts! I love pumpkin seeds for that. Also trail mix- make your own to save cash. Walnuts, pecans, dark chocolate, dried cranberries, corn flakes, and pretzel sticks for the win!
  • Pita chips/ veggies with hummus, Yummm :) Turkey pepperoni and string cheese, peanutbutter and celery or a banana, yogurt and/or a protein shake. Good luck with the finals!
