Reading nutrition facts

Options
I'm going to picklebarrel with my friend for dinner and wanted to read the nutrition facts.
On the website it shows Carbohydrates but beside it shows carbohydrates daily value..
what's the difference?

I need to make sure I eat 30-40 carbs or less.

The "daily value" just means that, based on a 2,000 calorie diet, the carbs for that food will take up that percent of a 2,000 calorie diet's carb count. So if, for example, a bowl of soup has 15 grams of carbs and 5% daily value, it means that the soup will account for 5% of the carbs you'll consume all day. If you're counting carbs, count the Carb grams the menu posts, NOT the percent value.
