Banana Oatmeal Cookies
So these cookies are very simple to make - low calories and low effort! Very good for small children who like to mix things
Ingredients:
150g mashed banana
80g oats (I used quick cook oats and they worked fine)
1 tsp of vanilla essence
30g raisins
(or anything you like - nuts, chocolate chips and so forth)
Method:
Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius and grease a baking tray.
Mix mashed banana and oats together thoroughly so there isn't any banana lumps (I also added a drop of water to soften it) and then add vanilla essence. Then add filling of your choice (mine was raisins) and mix it evenly. Dollop mixture into 12 parts on baking tray and flatten with a spatula.
Put baking tray into the oven for about 10-15 mins (my second batch needed 17 to crisp them in the corners) and they should come out firm, but chewy in the middle. Taste like banana oatmeal (obviously!!!)
And these mini cookies should come out at 50 calories a piece (with a serving size of 12), here's what the myfitnesspal recipe builder came up with when I entered this (with the 30g raisins):
Calories: 50
Carbs: 10
Fat: 1
Protein: 1
Sodium: 0
Sugar: 5
Also I am by no means saying they are the lowest calorie or the tastiest recipe on mfp, they're just what I made and enjoyed today! Hope you do too
