How to log my chicken stock?

I am wondering how I can add my homemade chicken stock to my recipes list...
I have the ingredients I put in written down - but because the things I used (chicken legs, veg) aren't staying IN the stock... how would I count it? I mean ultimately, it is flavored water - but there ARE calories in it... just not sure how to log it...

I would be using this stock as a base for soups and to cook rice - but I have no idea how I would log it....

    Also in for results.

The Usda site has it at 86 calories per cup. That seems high to me. Looks like I used something called 'Kitchen Basics- unsalted chicken broth' in the database when I made soup last week at 100 calories for 4 cups. I do know that I let the fat get solid and skimmed darn near every bit off.

I did skim the fat on mine. I too found the 86 calorie version. I think that to be safe it isn't a bad one to use as reference, knowing that per cup you are probably overestimating by at least 30 calories. I would think 50 cals is closer to the actual amount.

Its in the database. I was also surprised at how many calories there are in it. But I think it's higher fat content.

I found this recipe online with the nutrition value...81 calories, but 43 of that is from fat. I'd think that any estimate from 40 calories up would be good on skimmed broth. I do like having as much of the nutrient values as possible. :)

I am using the 86 calorie per cup version in my recipe. AS I did skim all the fat off of mine, I am sure it is higher than actuality, but that is ok for me..
