New Triathlete in Need of Resources

Hello wonderful MFP fam! So, after years of sitting on the sidelines as a tri organizer, I took the plunge and signed up for an Olympic distance tri in March. Can you all weigh in on the best beginner resources? I need help on pretty much every aspect other than running! I really don't want to spend a fortune on equipment since my initial goal is just to complete the event without killing myself, but any advice is welcome :-)

Beginner Triathlete is great site with lots of advice and a good community that is very supportive. Can't help much as I only did a sprint so didn't really need much equipment, but good luck.

beginner triathlete and slowtwitch are both excellent.
There used to be a triathlon group here, but the forum conversion killed it with fire.0 -
Do you have a local tri club?0

Thank you all for the information. Yes there is a tri club here, but its a little intimidating as Kona is pretty hardcore if you know what I mean!0
