The bulk of that lost weight is water. If you're also exercising and eating low carbs then some of that is also glycogen. You'll taper off and fall into losing 1-3 lbs a week depending on diet and activity level. Good luck on your journey.0

My typical diet food includes those foods and cheese, crisps, bread, ice cream in fact whatever I fancy based on staying within my calorie goals
That's what I find necessary to lose weight0 -

The only food necessary for a diet is the food you eat that keeps you in a calorie deficit. You can eat pizza, cake, chips, and all your favorite things in moderation.
Also, your weight loss is fine for just starting out. You're mostly losing water weight, along with a bit of fat. It will slow down soon.

I honestly don't believe in "losing too fast" As long as you are getting in your nutrients and your deficit isn't insane I don't see anything wrong with if you happen to lose 3lbs a week. I think that "if you lose more than 2lbs a week, you will have grave results" is a bunch of hogwash and is geared towards those that have eating disorders. If you notice you are deficient in a vitamin or nutrient, find foods that fit in your macros to accommodate for that and whatever the scale says, it will say. And like a previous poster stated, weight loss isn't linear, you will have gains and loses and stalls. Good luck!0
