Hi! I am restarting myfitnesspal after lots of stress (I tend to be an emotional eater at times) and a 4th pregnancy...I have about 45-50 pounds to lose and seriously need some motivation from your success stories. For some reason, I have been having a hard time in the evenings. I do great during the day, then at night I end up taking a few bites of stuff I know I shouldn't be eating. This is the biggest I have ever been and I've been so discouraged feeling like I can't succeed at reaching my goal weight. I feel like if I can see what you guys have done, it will help keep me focused and hopefully make me believe I can do this, too!
Thanks you guys!!!
Thanks you guys!!!

I have to stay out of the kitchen besides meal times. Sometimes I have to leave the house entirely and go for a walk. After 30 min, the cravings generally pass.
Keep everything out of sight and plan your meals in advance. Keep MFP updated after every bite. If you see you don't have calories remaining, you may not be as tempted. My husband and I start adding our dinner as soon as we sit down with it (sometimes beforehand so we know how much we can eat).0 -
I did have photos of my weight loss on my bebo but obviously thats over now! Lets just say, i started at 17 stone something and got down to 12 stone and i looked fantastic lol. I always had comments on how tiny my waist was, my legs and i could wear anything i wanted, i even started wearing high heels and dresses and looked good! even strangers who somehow knew me said how much weight id lost. All the cellulite on my butt and thighs had gone but even then i still felt fat. Unfortunately ive put it all back on and more since becoming a mother so the journey begins again! What i did was eat whatever i wanted (I didnt eat sweets or takeout anyway) but i ate small portions and didnt snack. I went on my treadmill 30-60 minutes a day doing interval training until my heart felt it was going to fly out of my chest sometimes.. i walked my dog up to two hours a day and i did strength training before bed. Thats not doable now, i was 17 then so i had all the time in the world. Now i only aim for 30 minutes intervals on my treadmill and cut down on the crap i eat. Keep going, you can do it!!0

This is me going from about 196 to about 168 or so. I was at the one year point here and have since lost about five more pounds. Biggest thing for me has been weight training. I'm eating 2450 calories a day (TDEE so no eating back exercise calories) so I eat pretty much whatever I want as long as I hit calorie and macro goals. My best advice is to just take your time with it. I spent over a year losing the weight but I was happy and eating plenty of food and never felt like I was making some huge change to my life. I just paid attention instead of shoveling whatever was convenient until I was full.

In my profile picture on the left I'm 239lbs on the right I'm 199 40lbs lost. I've currently lost a total of 51lbs and I'm hoping to lose at least another 30lbs. It has taken me 1.5 years to lose 50lbs. I wanted to make small lifestyle changes and lose slowly that way it will be easier to maintain. Good luck to you0

I went from 193lbs to 175lbs eating about 1200 calories a day which was nowhere near enough for me, and I eventually rebounded. This is my 175lbs body! (I'm a touch under 5'8). For some reason, I'm wearing a dress that's about two sizes two big. I didn't have a flat stomach at all so I was paranoid about it showing...shouldn't have been. I now realise even slim people have lumps and bumps here and there! This is my first aim anyway, sadly I'm 25lbs away but VERY determined, even more now I've written this!
Also, in the second picture with the sweatpants, I'm around 195lbs again. But, I was lifting so heavy! I don't think it looks like a 20lb difference - what do you guys think? Maybe it's the angle. Or maybe the weight lifting saved me haha.0 -
Hi! Losing baby weight is hard I can't even imagine after your fourth! I am 5'7". The left photo is a week after I gave birth, the right is 9 months later. I lost about 25lbs between the two photos. Around 5 months pp I started slowly with circuit training everyday, then I started weight lifting which really helped.
Good luck, you can do this!

I am 5ft 8. Here is an old picture of me, and profile piccie is a recent one of me. All i can say is keep at it and it will gradually come off. I only came here to drop from a size uk 18/20 to a size uk 14 and now i can wear sizes 10/12. You will be amazed what will happen if you just keep going. good luck.0
