I am recovering from heart surgery, and my Doctor's, at UPMC, would like to see my food intake on a weekly basis

If you mean printing your food diary, you can click the "View Full Report (Printable)" button in the bottom left, and then you can select the date range in the top left and print that.0

I would say this is a great tool for that purpose! You can log all food and water intake and exercise type and duration. When you get into your food diary, you'll notice you have the option of printing out your food and exercise logs.
I originally came here for pre-surgical reasons (lower BMI to qualify for lung transplant list). I saw my doctor last week and she was impressed with my weight loss and my BMI is now in the acceptable range. She is presenting my case to the transplant team next week for consideration. When I told her about MFP, her comment was, "we should have all our transplant patients using that site."
I will continue to use the tools on MFP to facilitate weight loss and my efforts to improve my health as much as possible.
