more....but I seem to go down after a few days...what about you?0

I have only had my period once since starting this but I didn't lose any weight the week I was on it... I think its just because you retain more water, the week after I lost 5lbs.0
-
Always always more!! I usually will weigh 2-3 lbs more and when it's over I drop them:)0

I have mine this week, I only lost 1/4 of a pound, I did lose inches and I only went over my calories on easter which was the 1st time in 14 days. I think i am retaining water even though I am drinking alot and peeing alot, I feel more bloated! I will know for sure by next tuesday if I have more drastic results!0

more before and less after.
Yeppers. Me too.0 -
Significantly more.0

I gained 1.5 and stayed the same the whole time! But right after I lost 2 (:
It made me so anxious!0 -
I still lose steadily during tom but I also am drinking a minimum of 10+cups of water a day. I'm sure that helps a lot in not retaining water.0

I'm probably just an outlier, but I lose a lot when I'm on TOM. I don't let it stop me from working out. My biggest problem is sweet cravings but I usually handle them pretty well. I retain water but I work out a lot and drink so much water a day anyways that it usually doesn't stick...
If you do gain, it seems like you'll lose it afterwards so I wouldn't worry about it too too much0 -
I have only had 2 postpartum TOM since my baby was born. The first time, I jumped up 4 lbs the day before! Yes-FOUR POUNDS!!! ARGH! LOL
The second time, I only jumped about a pound, but it hung around for a few days, and then I quickly lost 3 more!

I always gain before. It always goes away the next weekend.0
-
I have noticed I go up a bit right before, but about mid way through it goes back down.0
-
2-4 pounds more. This time, it didn't come off as easiy the next week -- wondering if I was plateauing a bit. Scale started moving this week, though!0
-
I did my weigh in and was 4lbs+! Then I realized that 'she's' right around the corner. Hopefully next time I step on I'm a few pounds less!0
-
Sometimes I'll weigh 2-3lbs more and other times I won't gain anything.0
-
Always more! And i'm always insanely hungry and emotional about 2 days before. So I eat and then cry about it. lol0

I've had TOM twice since starting MFP...first time lost 5 pounds that week...this past time, gained 1/2 a pound...0
-
I drink a lot of water and don't have any weight gain, last month I lost 2lbs. Before I drank water - I was always up 2-3lbs minimum.0
-
I think it's safe to say that, MOST woman retain water during PMS and once the cycle begins they lose the body weight. So for most it depends on before the period begins, during and then after.0
-
More...usually between 3-5 lbs heavier right before my cycle and i notice it comes back off about a day after my cycle ends...its water retention.0

I have come to the conclusion that sometimes I weigh more, sometimes less, but either way you can shed the pounds later. I have stopped weighing myself around that time for 3-4 days and don't calorie count. I get too moody and have horrible cramps, in bed for half the day, so it's easier to just not restrict, drink lots of tea/soup and don't weigh.
Last time I was obsessed during my period I ended up gaining more weight because I was stressed about how much I ate, then freaked out when I gained 2lbs the next day and ate more because I felt horrible about gaining the weight.
This time I didn't weigh, after 4 days weighed myself & gained 1lb, and lost 2lbs within 2 days of going back to MFP & weighing myself everyday. I just use it as my cheat days0
