Hi guys, I am going to be starting track in the spring and want to do really good and I want to buy Insanity. My concern is that if I run a lot while doing Insanity will my muscle gain and fitness decrease from Insanity? What can I do to avid that if so?
Thank you!

Insanity will not decrease your fitness level on any level. I would do Insanity until the Spring, and once track starts ease back on Insanity. Nothing is better for running than running.

As long as you're eating enough calories and the proper balance of macros to support the increased activity, you shouldn't see any decrease in performance or muscle mass. Also, I disagree with Billtrek613 - strength training, cross training (doing other cardio like biking, swimming, etc) and proper stretching can all be very beneficial towards your running.0
