okay okay. so this time im serious. i need to be. i weight 190 pounds. that is crazzzzzyyyyyyyy!!!!!! im only one inch above five feet. im so digusted with myself. im always worried my boyfriend will one day realize how crazy he is for being with me and leave me for someone prettier. though he says he loves how i look i dont. iwant to weigh 130 pounds. i would be so happy with myself. thats 60 pounds. i feel like its gonna take forever but i want to achieve it. and that means no more dominos nights, fast food, even soda. or at least diet. im serious this time.

I want to lose that weight not only for how i look but for my health. but i fear i can't do it alone.

any tips to make sure i diet correctly, to keep myself on track and tips to learn to say NO!

thanks guys :)

I believe you posted earlier this week and there were some great suggestions and advice there.
You don't have to try to convince us you are going to do this.
Of course we will be here to support you, offer advice, ideas, etc.
How you use that is up to you.

No one said you have to give up everything...but you may need to evaluate some choices more.
I am doing this lifestyle change (not a diet) with the mentality that I won't cut out things I can't live without forever. It may take me longer to lose but ultimately I will and be better off for it. Now, when I want chocolate, I have a piece....not an entire bag. When I want a gourmet drink (coffee, tea, etc) I factor it into my calories for the day.

You will be surprised over time how your tastes change and your diet (meaning foods you eat regularly) shifts on it's own.

    Don't convince us....convince yourself...we are always here.
  • Set a goal.
Perhaps you want to give yourself 10 months to lose those 60 lbs.

    60/10=6 lbs a month
    6 lbs a month / by 4 weeks = 1.5 lbs a week.
    1.5 lbs /7 = .21 lbs a day.

If you exercise you can cut more lbs.

Give your self a long range goal and set a date.

Say " I will lose 60 lbs by /Sept." (If you start today)

    Then a short term goal:
"I will lose 1.5 lbs this week."

It is a cinch by the inch and hard by the yard.

Make a plan to reach your goal. Take time out each day to read your goals before going to bed and prepare your meals for the following day. Pack your lunch and snacks and water. And exercise daily.

Easy weight loss plan is the following:

Make a deficit. (this means in order to lose weight you must be in a calorie deficit. Weigh your foods just don't eyeball it. You might be jeopardizing yourself.

    Write ever thing down.
    Drink your water.
    And MOVE

    Good luck,

    You can do this.
  • I agree with ChubbyBunny, the mentaility of a lifestyle change and eating healthier is much more appleaing and satisfying then a "diet". I restrict alot of bad foods, but then I get insane cravings and then I binge. So now I'm trying this thing where I don't eliminate bad foods, but limit them. Even to once a week, but hey, it gives you something to look forward too and it tastes that much better
So maybe have saturday as your cheat day (but don't go tooooo over board.. Portion is key), but you can then have your fast food or pizza or girly drinks at least once a week!

Up your excersize, even to walking or jogging, doing Yoga or pilates, or going to the gym. Drink a ton of water, and eat plenty of vegetables and fruits~ If your hungry, or feel like snacking, eat some carrots or celery or grapes, or drink water. Eat 100% whole wheat and whole wheat pasta and brown rice. And get your protiens.

And most importanly, be patiant. Don't give up. It takes awhile, but the feeling is amazing when you hit it!
