Big changes and little results??

When I think of all the changes I've made to my diet - at the beginning of the year I was in an abusive relationship and easily ate 3000, maybe even 4000 (I never counted) calories a day - now I'm averaging 2000 a day - so why have I only lost 9lb in about 10 weeks??

I just feel like I should be losing it quicker - and I seem to have stalled at a certain weight for the past few weeks.0

I am 25, 215lbs, 5ft 8
2000 calories has always seemed an awful lot, my TDEE is meant to be 2500 a day (I work out 4+ times a week) but that still seems high - maybe I should cut down a little more?0 -
times i have gone 6 months without weight loss, sometimes longer, then boom half a stone come off and stayed off and i been sat here thinking WTF? how did that happen? lol
Like start of september, had been stuck at 17 stone 7 for 12 months, sometimes a few pounds under, often a few over, then in a few days a full stone came off, no idea how or why, so I thought mmm, time to come back to MFP and keep track of my foods, see if I can keep it going.
Gotta love the human body, can be so whacky at times0 -

I agree, a pound a week. Good for you. Your body will love you for losing slowly.

A pound a week is an awesome loss, congratulations! Remember, you didn't gain the weight in 10 weeks, it's not going to come off in 10.0

You've lost 9lbs in 10 weeks - Some people haven't even lost anything in that, or gained a lot more than 9lbs!
Don't rush this - It will come off - Be patient!
Slow & steady wins the race0 -
thank you
