MyFitness Newbie - Scotland

Hey all - I'm Rob

Had a brief flirtation with MyFitnessPal a while back but didn't really commit to it.

Got a two day streak happening (WOW!) but feeling ready to commit to tracking my diet/exercise and achieving some goals.

Was about 105kg 3 years ago and got down to 75 kg quite quickly. I'm 5 ft 9 so the extra 30kg didn't look too great. Had a really hectic year, changing jobs and relocating to another part of the country so I've seen a slow but steady increase in weight (83-85kg just now). I have a genuine fear of waking up and finding myself at 105kg again!

Still trying to fit in to my new surroundings so training partners haven't been established yet. Decided to get involved with MyFitnessPal to keep myself on track and chart progress and meals.

Happy to add / be added by UK & EU based folks for mutual motivation and encouragment.

    Welcome Rob,

I'm now on a 10 day streak! I wasn't sure about the site overall at first but have found it helping me lots in terms of logging my food and tracking what I'm eating. Also the support network that I've found on here is amazing! If I'm feeling like not exercising or something there's always someone with some great words of motivation to drive me onwards!

I'm currently 71kg, and looking to gain. I say I'm looking to gain it would be muscle that I'm looking to add onto my frame. I've always had a small frame and finding it hard, however lots of areas of support on here to help guide me!

I've sent a FR and hopefully can offer some support to you if you were to need it!

    Thanks,
    Simon

And another Scot! Hey ! Charlene here, lost 148lbs in little over 15 months, still losing weight but more focused on gaining muscle and I've been using this place for about 2 years on and off and it works a treat!

I'm Glasgow based like some of the other folks so hello! feel free to add!
  • Cheers for the welcome guys - much appreciated - was a member of the Mens Health forum years ago and glad to feel welcome already - not like their forum! Rebuffed if your weren't buff!!!

I'll probably be logging food and moaning about missing pizza but looking forward to the motivation and encouraging others.

Feel free to drop me a message or keep me posted on your progress...watching others make progress is the best motivational tool.
