Hey guys,
My name is Monica and I am a 21 year old single mother. Looking back at my pictures from my freshman year in high school where I was 120 lbs makes me feel like a failure at the moment. I gained a lot of weight my senior year and right as I was working it off I had my daughter, that was almost 1 1/2 years ago and I let myself go. I decided that being skinny wasn't worth working for. Well I was wrong, its not so much being skinny but being healthy. I am at a whopping 220 pounds now (guestimating: could be a little more or a little less) and I have a full time job, when I come home I have to be a full time mom. My knees always hurt as does my back. This stops me from playing with my daughter, from enjoying my days, from being my best at work.
So, I have decided to take the journey that so many other people are already taking, the journey to being a fitter more healthier me! I am hoping that with using this app and this website that I will be able to be 100lbs lighter by this time next year, or at least by New Years 2016. I would love to meet some other people who are working their way towards a healthier lifestyle as well! Maybe some success stories to motivate me!
I don't have a ton of time to work out during the day, but I am not completely inactive either. I work full time (6-8 hours a day) at Subway, which requires me to be on my feet and moving the entire time. When I am at home I do relax but I also play with my daughter and try to carve out at least 30 minutes to get a little exercise in. So hopefully I will be able to reach my goal in the next year.
