hey everyone.
i joined here last night after my best friend sent me a link. she is getting married in june in las vegas and we both wanted to lose a bit of weight before the big day. i am chief bridesmaidzilla on the day. i only have about 11lb to lose but had been following a plan previously and have lost 4 stone in the last year. i seem to have lost my way with it, so thought i would try something different, and here i am.
i have never followed a calorie controlled diet, so on top of the whole enter everything into your phone/laptop very strange/exciting. im looking forward to see how i get on with this as i really need to fit into my dress!!!!!!!
say hi if your around :flowerforyou:

Welcome to MFP!! I too, have never followed a calorie type diet. I have joined in January and have lost 12 lbs. so far. The last few are a struggle for me, as I have lost my way a bit. I think as long as you have strong will power and dedication to the site and your diet, you will for sure reach your goal. Good luck to you and feel free to add me as fried if you would like. We are one big happy family here on MFP!!!0

Welcome to myfitnesspal. I've been doing this off-and-on for about 2 years and about 3 months consistently right now. I only needed to lose a few pounds like you, but logging my calories makes it so much easier to stay on track. I've lost 6 pounds so far. This has been the most consistently I've used it, but also the most successful. In the past, I would always convince myself that I could keep track in my head, but I never saw any real results. Keeping track helps you see a direct connection between your intake and your weight. I've also started reading and posting blogs and (surprising for me) that really helps too. Good Luck!0

hi sandiejeck
thanks for your reply.
I have been struggling to lose my last stone since just after christmas. its just not going. lol.i took a couple of months out, and now with the wedding looming, i have a bridesmaid dress that I HAVE to fit into. i like the idea of logging food down, but maybe the novelty will wear off?? Anyhoo, its only my first day, and i went shopping this morning and resisted the chocolate.
