Weight loss from a wheelchair

I'm new to My fitness pal and hoping to lose some extra weight gained after a spinal cord injury left me in a wheelchair. I also have serious chronic illness which necessitates medication and therapy that cause weight gain. Outside of that- I am addicted to all things Disney and a frequenter of Disney theme parks. I'd love to network with others on their journey to a healthier lifestyle.

I know it's possible, because I know of a lady who lost 135lbs from her wheelchair as well. If you're interested, I may be able to help with your weight loss as well0

I just joined also and have been working on/planning my weight loss journey for about a month, slowly inducting myself into the idea that I can't keep eating whatever I want and expect to be healthy. I also have limitations due to disability...muscular dystrophy. Still on two legs thus far, thank the gods, but I do know about limitations. At this time, I am able to do short, slow walks so at least that is something. I also take meds that interfere with the process. I haven't decided yet if I am going to do the low carb/hi protein or the alternate day diet.. I've had success with both in the past before going off on other tangents.. contemplating my next move. Feel free to add me as a friend.0
