I've been telling myself that I want to lose weight for about 2 years. I finally made a choice to really get serious about it. It's really hard. Im on a 1200 calorie diet. I use to eat that and more in one meal. Really trying to stay positive and keep focused on my goal

1200 is low - what's your stats?
you could probably eat more and still lose, plus move more and you can eat more
and once you get used to what you can eat and retrain your head to recognise actual hunger rather than just the body going 'hey I'm bored / sad / meh, feed me' it gets easier
proteins and vegetables are your friend
so is an ability to cook and experiment
you'll get there if you want to0 -

You can set your goals less aggressively and earn extra calories through exercise. You want to do something that's sustainable.0

Exercise is not needed for weight loss but it will make a big difference and you will feel good when you start seeing results.0
