My name is Jaylee!

I introduced my self in the Introduction thread: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10006376/young-18-year-old-girl-on-her-second-weight-loss-journey?new=1

But for those who do not want to read it. Basically I was anorexic, developed binge eating and am now 18, 5'2 and 140 pounds.

My goal is to lose weight the HEALTHY way this time.
Any advice on simple tricks that work to stop binging/over eating?

Are you currently being supervised by a doctor for your weight loss journey? And are you speaking to a therapist regarding your binge eating disorder and anorexia?
  • I have a therapist for my eating disorder yes. I currently do not have a doctor for this but I am planning on going soon.

Well your therapist has the best advice most likely.

Your priority needs to be to get enough food and eat your 3 meals and 1-3 planned snacks every day with multiple food groups at each meal. If you want to track calories, give yourself a 200 calorie range (e.g. 1800-2000) and do not go below it!! Track any binges and don't skip meals or do anything to make up for them. If these things are difficult to do, get support. You need to lose at most 0.5 lbs per week, if losing more than that raise your calorie range.
