Non-Scale Related Goals

I have been listening to Jonny Bowen's fantastic "9 Essential Rules for Weight Loss." He talks a lot about things OTHER than weight loss, which I love; I find that losing weight and getting in shape helps in other areas, too. I'm hearing from him and a lot of other success writers that writing down your goals & sharing them publicly is a huge motivator and factor in reaching them. One of the questions Bowden asks is, what are three goals you have?

I would like to revise it to: What are three non-scale related goals you have? He says to phrase them positively: "I will save $1,000 by August 1st," "We will move into our new house by September 31st," etc.

Here are three of mine:

1 -- I will be a certified fitness trainer by August 8, 2011;

2 -- I will be selling my home no later than August 31, 2011;

3 -- I will put $10K in savings by December 31, 2011.

What are three of YOUR goals?:smile:

    Great post! Love this idea :)

    1. I will be wearing a size 10 dress for my birthday (May 13th, 2011)

    2. We will be strong and healthy enough to go on our week long hiking/camping trip by June 1st 2011

    3. I will join a sport, club or healthy social activity I've never tried before no later than August 2011

    I am happy to report that I wore a size 10 pant size for my birthday, rather than a dress (didn't find one I liked in the store) lol! I'm just happy I was in a size 10, met goal! YES! :D
