Stress and weight gain/water retention

Hi all,

Just tossing a question out to the forum...

The past month has been a pretty stressful one, with work-related travel, a break up, moving house and starting a new job...
Over the past few crazy weeks I've noticed that I've gained 4lbs (holding on to it steadily) and my stomach is quite bloated and my face is puffy (probably water weight). I'm still running 4x week, walking daily, and eating at deficit, or close to maintenance. Exercise is great stress relief!
Four pound is not a lot of weight to gain, and I'm sure that once things settle down, the scale will be moving downwards too. I'm just curious to know if anyone else has experienced something similar due to stress?

Thank you!

Absolutely! stress is one of the biggest contributors to weight gain/loss some people gain signficantly when stressed some people loss significantly. I hope things start to look up for you and you can get back on track. Keep your chin up
