My journey

Hello everyone, I'm 26 years old and I have been over weight since I was 8. I have done everything from yoyo dieting, to a gym membership, I even had a nutritionist at one point.
First and foremost I am a survivor. At 23 I was at the heaviest I have ever been, I was borderline diabetic and I was on medication. I took roughly 6 pills a day, blood pressure, acne, diabetes, you name it. A friend of mine at the time started bribing me to lose weight, and well that didn't work out. At 370lbs I didn't care the slightest about myself, and I was ashamed.
One day out of the blue my mother who is also overweight suggested we join weight watchers, that was in 2011, I weighed in at 369.2 and today I am 320.6. Now some of you might say that isn't that much of an accomplishment, but to me it is. I am someone that has had a rough life and rarely finishes what I start, for me to maintain and keep it off is a huge accomplishment. This past year, well two years I finally got the social life I wanted, and I let my journey suffer from it, lately I have been on the right track and tend to stay on track. The last time I weighed myself, the scale said 319, so for me to reach the 200 mark will be huge, I have never lost more than 10/15 lbs when I was yoyo dieting. Incase you are wondering, I am diabeties free, great blood pressure, and in the best shape of my life.
I want to go back to college to be a pediatric nutritionist so kids won't have to go through the torture and humiliation I had to when I was growing up. One of my biggest fears down the line is lose skin, I have a bit right now, and I'm trying to tone it and tighten it, but I don't want to have to deal with that when I reach my goal. I have 130lbs left, and I will reach it.

As Gandhi said "be the change you want to see in the world" after all, isn't that what this site is all about?

Thank you, it's been difficult. My main focus is portion control and making sure I don't go over my points. When I don't count my points, I gain instantly.
