Hi guys, I have been at this hard and heavy for 5 weeks and have lost 15 lbs.....that's an average of 3lbs a week.
What does everyone average per week in weight loss....feel like I could be doing better

That is pretty fast, but if you're not starving all the time it should be fine. Everyone's body auto-regulates in it's own time and manner once we start a healthy lifestyle.0

3 pounds is over the "average", as long as you aren't starving yourself and eating plenty of calories then you are doing fine. Depending on how much you weigh then it's not unhealthy. I have been losing about 3 pounds a week also, and I'm being tracked by a doctor. There is no reason it's unhealthy unless you aren't getting the proper nutrition, I also have plenty to lose so I'm not even close to my goal (or healthy) weight.0

I average about 3 pounds a week too. It's pretty fast… faster than most really. But if, like me, you have a lot to lose, it can go that way for a while. Pay attention to how you feel. Do you have adequate energy to get your workouts in and live the lifestyle you want without feeling lightheaded or hungry all the time? Are you able to enjoy nights out with friends and family or are you constantly worried about your calories and restricting beyond what you need? Are you getting good nutrition out of the food you are eating? If all those are in check… then you should be fine. Everybody's body is different. Just be realistic and healthy in your expectations. You may not be able to keep up that rate of weight loss the whole time. It's natural to slow down as you get smaller. And it's natural to have weeks here or there where you "stall out." Just keep your eye on living healthy. And don't worry about the scale too much.0

Not starving at all.....I do a lot of walking between 2.5-5 miles every day... Not including work...just for exercise....I will be happy with 3 lbs0

it happens hollen camp, i lost quick for the first few weeks then went down. i go through periods where i will loose quicker as well (im going through one now despite upping my calories and eating a little pants)
"they" say that healthy loss is up to around 2-2.5 a week and that average is about 1.5 a week. so at 3 a week i wouldnt be overly concerned byt maybe just keep an eye on it.

First few weeks are a huge drop in water weight, hence the 15lb in 5 weeks drop most likely. You are doing fine. It will slow down, but as long as you fuel your body properly with the calories it needs (and stay in a deficit), and work out, you will continue to lose.
Don't try to keep up a 3lb weight loss through your attempt to lose weight, though. That isn't healthy in the long run.0
