misfit shine points and mfp calories

I just bought the shine and connected it with mfp, but I'm thoroughly confused on the points and how they compare to mfp calories. how do I use the information on shine? I don't see how the two integrate really at all and I can't find anything online. any help is much appreciated!

I believe that 100 points is about 1000 steps. I really wish the Misfit would let me set a step goal. Well, and I wish it let me set an alarm that would vibrate. (AND... I also don't see any info from the Misfit coming into MFP.)0
