I don't like solid food before a workout. I'll do a drink consisting of BCAAs, arginine, beta alanine, creatine, and caffeine. Helps me stay focused, energetic, and prevents too much muscle fatigue.0

I like to hit the gym after work. I'll have 2-3 hard boiled egg whites about an hour before I leave the office. Satiates the hunger that's starting to build up toward the end of the day, and it's an easy source of protein.0

I take a protein shake made with cold-brew coffee and almond milk with some BCAA capsules. The protein/caffeine/BCAA combo keeps me going for a few hours.0

I tried something new a couple of weeks ago i've been doing ever since, 1100 kcals mixed ~ 160 Carbs 65 protein and 20-25 grams of fat, Then i let that sit for 2-4 hours, When i get to the gym i just explode with energy and can workout with high intensity for 1 ½ hours
I't might seem like overkill but obviously its food for 2-4 hours + workout0 -
Coffee. And (if it's going to be a huge workout...like a 600+ calorie burning crazy run or workout)...a snickers bar :-)0

I have a plain rice cake with a tbsp of almond butter with half of banana. This really gives me a good burst of energy for lifting.0

I use Xtend brand BCAA's, which are flavored, as the base. Really just use whatever flavored BCAA mix you find, they're mostly all the same. Then I just measure out the other powders. Cheaper than a premixed preworkout and I know I'm getting effective doses of each supplement.
