You know that one guy....
You have all meet him. Do try to tell me you haven't. That one guy who sits in the back of class. Yeah him! The one that never studies and is too busy just staring at the hot chick in front on him. See I told you you knew him. Or that girl who sits all through an hour and a half class, staring at her polished nails, putting her hair up and down,up and down. Or too busy trying to get every guy in the room to stare at her all at the same time. See I knew I wasn't alone.
So riddle me this, how is it that they manage to saddle an A on their test. Sure I get A's too but how do they do it? Any thoughts?
Okay I told you about my "one" guy.....tell me about yours!

I had a friend kinda like this in college. We took a comparative politics class and I had to work my butt off for my C including taking the optional final. He forgot to do the term paper, failed the midterm and didn't take the final and also got a C.... yea, I'm still bitter about that even though I've been graduated for a year now....0

I was kinda that girl...I didnt do the nails and hair thing, but I never paid attention. I always kept people laughing and distracting my firends. Yeah wasnt much the teacher could do cause I pulled down A's outta no where. How.....Well even though I wasnt listening. I was. I mean I can just remember things. Wish I knew how...but I did....Worked for me in college too. I just never studied and sometimes never even opened a book....Go Figure0

In high school I was totally that guy. I would (seamingly) barely pay attention in class, I NEVER did my homework and I got A's on almost every test. Graduated HS with a 2.08 GPA; just barely high enough to graduate. My parents were always telling me that I could be a straight A student if I would just do my homework. I replied "Why? Regardless if I have a 4.0 or a 2.0 I still graduate, and what really matters to employeers is whether or not I have a COLLEGE degree. And then GPA really only comes into play on my FIRST job."
In college I continued this trend for my first two years, but I did do some of the homework just to keep from being too low in my GPA (Grants that I had required a 2.5 or above). Then in my last three years I really applied myself and had to work pretty hard to finish in the top 3rd of my class with a 3.27 GPA.
And yes, it took me 5 years to graduate from college, but I was a Mechanical Engineering Major and had 150 units to complete compared to those wimpy Humanities Majors with 120. :grumble:0 -

Well sure i mean if you DO work...whether in or out of class...professors do get INCREDIBLY boring so sure i sometimes fall asleep if only in the mind...but they are the people who you can TELL, go to parties all the time and NEVER study...hmm...i wonder if they are the TEACHER'S pet....lol just kidding0 -
I was that guy, I was able to intuitively understand the material and apply it to the tests. I graduated with 3.25 gpa imagine if I'd tried. I remember I was in ap english and emily carl sat next to me despite there being plenty of other seats I wasn't myself and actually had to drop the class within the first couple weeks because it was too "hard".0

I was that girl.
And I only appeared that way to you. What you didn't care to learn was that I have a dictophonic memory. I remember everything I hear. So if it looked like I was searching for split ends, I was. I was also listening, and if the test was something covered in class, I did fine.0
