Does water retention happen after exercise??

Hi there,
I'm pretty active and fit. I try to exercise 6 days a week usually at them gym or exercise classes. I just started going to spin classes and I always try and push myself whatever I'm doing. Today I bloated everywhere! I tried to put on some boots which usually fit perfectly and today they were a struggle to zip up! I swear I've gained 2+ inches. (it's also my TOTM so that probably doesn't help!) is this water retention/bloating normal after starting new exercise? Thanks!!

Thank you!! Any idea how long it'll take to sort itself out?? or what I can do to make it better quicker?0

Drink water, reduce salt (not too much- gives me headaches) and just keep at it, it'll work itself out.

It always takes me about a week to lose TOM bloat. I've only just started lifting a week ago and have been told not to bother weighing myself for at least two. And I started TOM at the same time as starting my new regime... Your muscles are repairing themselves after what may have been a long time, so just wait a couple of weeks for your body to get used to things. Good luck!0
