Heyyy guyssss... I just booked one calendar month at a fitness/health camp in Thailand, at Tiger Muay Thai. I am super excited about it! but also kind of nervous as I am a bit of a wuss at the gym and don't usually work out for over an hour.

At this place, I should be getting at least 4 hours of exercise a day, with lean and clean meals twice a day, supplements and accommodation close by.

Anyone done this sort of thing before? Would love to hear how it went for you.

Also, please feel free to add me! I intend on making regular updates whilst over there and to log in to MFP every day to track my calories in vs calories out.

I haven't done anything like that but it sounds amazing. How/where did you find/book this trip?

Well hopefully I won't pass out! They provide me with two meals a day and some fruit as a snack. I will find something else for dinner, lunch, or whichever meal I decide to opt out of for the day. I think I'm going to take a small tub of protein powder with me!

I had a friend mention it to me. They are called Tiger Muay Thai. I hope this doesn't look like advertising! lmao I have heard mixed reviews, mainly good ones... so I hope it works well for me and sheds off a few kilos :)

Oops, I realised I already mentioned the name of it up there. I just googled it. I paid for a month, sent off an email asking for it to start on the 10th. Works well for me because I finish on the 10th of December and am spending 1 week holiday with my friend who I haven't seen for a few good years!

I am not into Muay Thai, but it's an interesting idea. What do you hope to gain from 1 month of crash course training in fighting?

That looks amazing. I've always wanted to do some type of fitness vacation like that.

muay thai is their national sport and undertaken by the majority of the population from a young age.
the camp has decent reviews on trip advisor, and phuket is a paradise isle.
i spent 5 months in thailand in 2011, swimming outside mainly ,and lost 20kg.
food is cheap, fresh and plentifull, hot weather and a month of fitness sounds perfect.
thai visa forum will give you loads of useful info too .
have a blast, and good luck with the food logging!

This one wonders, what is the OP's muay thai training background?

I wasn't aware having a background in Muy Thai was a requirement for signing up. I think it's a great idea to sign up for something like this.
