Injured Knee won't slow me down!!!

I injured my knee at the gym on Friday almost falling off the stair master. Luckily my Personal Trainer was right next to me to shut it off quickly well my knee buckled and popped. So over the weekend I have been resting it.
Today in the bathroom I fell right on the tile and on the edge of the weight scale causing a big bruise and a very much swollen knee with popping noises. I went to the ER and luckily no fracture even-though I didn't think I had one. Possible 'torn meniscus' or over stretched ALC Ligament. I have crutches, I'm going to get an ace bandage.
I'm lucky to belong to a gym that is understanding and have a Personal Trainer who will go easy with me focusing on upper body strength for now.
I'm still going to the gym I told the doctor because you know what accidents happen at anytime in life. However life still goes on and our goals shouldn't be diminished because of them. There is going to be no set-back for me!!
The doctor I will listen to his orders and he said it was okay to return to the gym just to take it easy. I personally hoping it's bruised. However if it doesn't get better I will see a specialist and get an MRI.
No matter what this weight is coming off even If I have to go more gradual or slow.
Normally I would have thought 'yes I can just lay on the couch or in bed and not do anything.'
Trust me that was my old way of thinking.
Injured Knee won't slow me down!!
Don't worry I will be careful.

Injuries do happen anytime. They can be worked around so they can heal. I've done this many times with others who have had to have knee and shoulder surgeries, but have also made sure that if they needed the time off to recover, that they got it.

I once broke my toe running out the door because I was late for a session with my trainer. I just figured I stubbed it, but it was really obvious that I actually hurt myself when I got out of the car at the gym. My trainer, whom I had known and worked with for years, took one look at me and said "yeah, that's probably broken. Apparently we're doing upper body tonight!" (I did go see a doctor the next day).
You have a wonderful attitude, and it sounds like you have all your bases covered between your doctor and your trainer. Listen to your body and build some killer arms while you're waiting for your knee to heal!0
