I'm so proud of myself. I completed my second 5k run this past weekend. I did my first run in August and finished in 45 min which was awesome considering my goal was 1 hour. This time, I shaved 5 min off my time, 40 min!!! I can't believe that I actually RAN. I never in a million years thought that I could do it. I've been off and on track for the past few months. I just weaned my almost 1 year old so no excuses there to use anymore. If I can run a 5k, so can you!!!!

Great job! I know how hard it is to build up to being a runner. You are definitely a runner. My shins used to hurt so bad. I used to powerlift before the Army; then, I had to incorporate running. I could only make it a 100 yards at first. Everyday, I would push myself to go further. A couple of years later I had finished 13.1 miles and then a marathon. I am overweight, now, trying to start all over, again... a block at a time. Pretty soon, you'll do a 10k, and then you will ask yourself if you can do a half, then a full ... careful, you might end up running ultras. :-)0
