Is fasting broken by having lemon in your water, or apple cider vinegar? Both are 0 calories if used in normal amounts, is that all that matters when considering whether something will break your fast or not?

I wouldn't consider that breaking your fast. People use tea while they fast, so it seems about the same to me.0

If it has no calories then you are not breaking your fast. Milk, juice etc would be breaking it.0

I think you are not meant to have more than 50 calories when you are fasting so you should be ok

by the way what does apple cider do for you? sometimes I like to wash my hair in it and tried the tablets once but made no difference0

Apple cider vinegar has numerous benefits when ingested. Probably too many to list here.
My main reason for taking it is to prevent kidney stones.0 -

An ice cold beer does just fine0

I regularly drink lemon water and plain tea while fasting. I've also had ACV diluted in water. So long as your beverages don't contain too many calories (I've read that 50 is the maximum), you shouldn't be breaking your fast.0
